I know I could visit Carmel a dozen or more times a year and never get tired of this seaside village, despite the endless crush of tourists. Carmel has it all and then some. And just when I think that perhaps I might grow weary of the hikes up and down the hills around town, I catch a whiff of the salt air, hear the roar of the ocean, and sink into an Adirondack chair. It’s relaxing and hypnotic. Then I open a good bottle of Chardonnay and Yvonne and I let the world drift by…
