The site is not the product of any Chamber- or City-related undertaking. Nor is it officially sanctioned or overseen by any City of Carmel-by-the-Sea government entity. We do not receive any form of remuneration from, nor do we charge any fees for, any business to be listed on this site. We do, however, receive very small commissions from affiliate links on the site. Those links help in keeping the site up and running.
We – Northern Sky Designs, LLC – have been in business for 25+ years, designing websites and doing other website work (domain name registration, keyword research, SEO, social media marketing, and more). It has long been our passion; we have experienced the uncomfortable pain of failure, as well as the endless joys of success. We love what we do, and we will continue to do it as long as we are able.
The OnthePacific.com website is the result of many years of thought, many visions, and many trips to Carmel-by-the-Sea and the areas surrounding it. We found the City to be filled with people who are friendly, warm and hospitable. We found the town to be filled with businesses that are no less so. To our thinking, the beauty, serenity, and warmth of Carmel are unsurpassed.
Our first trip to Carmel was back in December of 1995. The allure has not diminished. In fact, we were married in Carmel in 2004. It has been our goal and desire to contribute and give back to the City in a manner that will be as helpful as possible. It is also our goal to dedicate our efforts – and a steadily progressing and growing website – to the people and businesses of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Our hope is that you will join us on our journeys. Whether you hail from the East Coast, the Midwest or are a long-time resident of the state of California, enjoy our forays and perhaps even suggest destinations of which we have not yet thought.
